101 Swim Tips
Breaststroke Tips 92-95
Tip 92: In breaststroke the arm movement is one continuous motion from full stretch back to full stretch - there is no pause when you take your breath!
Tip 93: When working on your breaststroke leg-kick, be aware of the contact area of the foot which provides the sense of propulsion. It is the medial (inner) surface of the foot, not the sole.
Tip 94: In breaststroke, keep your stroke relatively narrow - try thinking of swimming along inside an imaginary tube.
Tip 95: And don't "sit up" in breaststroke. Let your head, shoulders and chest rise as a result of pushing your hips forwards.
